Gregory OOPs: GOP Lacks a 'Grand Wizard'
NBC's David Gregory has apologized for a comment he made on Wednesday's "Today" show about the Republican party leadership's response to the sexual harassment scandal surrounding Herman Cain
.
When asked by Ann Curry if he thought the Republican party would want Cain to "just go away," Gregory said: "There is no, you know, grand wizard in the party right now who can really force the issue."
The reference to a "grand wizard"--a term formerly used for the leader of the Klu Klux Klan--drew the ire of conservative critics, including Hot Air's Ed Morrissey, who called the comment "jaw-dropping."
The "Meet The Press" host later apologized via Twitter.

2. Gregory is wrong of course.
There is a grand wizard. It's Bill Kristol. He could deep-six Herman Cain with the flip of his little pinkie.

7. You win! it is limbaugh- clearly. only reason cain is in this is limbaugh. and when he drops him he
he'll be gone - it really is that simple.

and it is idiotic that gregory and the left media and the media in general don't recognize it and outrageous that many of our 'institutions of higher learning' endorse limbaugh by broadcasting their sports on many of his biggest stations.

8. The only reason Cain is in this is the Koch Bro$ (Dave & Charlie get my vote)

9. they have the money but limbaugh has the power- the voice of talk radio
limbaugh has spent a lot of time selling cain, making excuses, and blaming the victims and he leads the pack. the other blowhards ride his bandwagon, like ticks on his ass.

the kochs can't overcome public sentiment against cain with a bunch of ads- they'd be lost in the mix without limbaugh. the kochs get credit for the tea party but all they did was give a bunch of dittoheads bus passes and a schedule.

when limbaugh finally gets the go ahead to let cain go he'll find an excuse to finally drop his defense of him and he'll be gone.

if rove didn't lose the white house it would be rove still coordinating team limbaugh instead of the koch team interfering in GOP politics and the GOP would have had a much smoother operation, without the teabaggers interfering. and it all depends on who gets limbaugh to prechew their talking points for them.

13. WABC, a limbaugh original station is near Penn station NYC. they are the wall st megaphones,
the 'popular' voice of the 1% , creating made-to-order constituencies in days for whatever wall st wants to stop or sell on the govt side, pushing politicians around.

the sooner the better. it has hardly ever been done and some stations might be well situated.

12. "There is no, you know, grand wizard in the party right now..."
....no need to apologize, wavy-davy, the Party's also short on white sheets and large crosses....

"....who can really force the issue."

....were you expecting a political lynching?
