5. Maybe the kids love their pets.
Some people feel their pets are family. Pls don't go Scroogey on this suffering family. I know you don't mean to, but that sounded like something a Repub would say, dontcha think?

8. I love my pet too (only 1 atm) but I would never
let family members go without because of her/them

If the sign said "2 parents, 2 jobs, 2 kids, No Food!" It would have been more effective

14. goldfish take little food. So do small rodents. Could be they had the pets before
they got laid off? Though I agree, your sign would be more effective.

18. this is a reference...
to an OReilly segment where he claimed that the poor are not bad off, because most have a refrigerator. The person to whom you responded doesn't actually feel that way.

And it's wasteful to leave a refrigerator door open when you aren't putting food in or taking food out.

15. No way would I give up my pets
That's the trouble with this country now. Everything is throwaway when things get tough. I cannot imagine a family having to get rid of a child's pet. A heart broken child or adult is not what this country needs. It is politicians that are not bought and sold out to corporations. Politicians that put their desires first before the human race.

Also who knows what pets this family had. Maybe it was a bird or fish. They don't consume much.
