1. I've got my gripes about the President, but at least he's not insane.
You can't say that about the Republican candidates. (except maybe Huntsman, who doesn't stand a chance of a snow cone in Hell)

2. Huntsman is one of the two Repubs who don't favor war with Iran.
The other one is Ron Paul. Hence my statement that Obama is the only viable one, since not wanting to invade Iran seems to be a deal-breaker with the Republican base.

Last time I checked, he was using trying to convince everyone a used-car salesman was Iran's frontman to hire a Mexican drug cartel to blow up DC restaurants.

9. I think he is trying to prevent Israel from bombing
the fallout (literally and figuratively) from that act would be catastrophic for the world.

10. Yep. I read this morning an article in the Washington Post online that
the topic of Iran is of importance on the President's Asia-Pacific trade tour.

12. Only viable candidate at this point? Yes, that's true. Opposed to war with Iran?
I'd need a quote with link - and not one that is from the campaign in 2008 because he "changed his mind" on a lot of things from that time period.
