1. We should be proud that he's passed three of his four jobs bills

14. Is there a reason that you are putting a premium on "independent" voters?

18. They make a sizable voting block and without them
you can't win reelection.

Post 17 sums it up.

Thanks, but there is no need for a reply.

6. Wrong. It is that among people who CALL themselves liberal Democrats.
And even then, poll questions can be manipulated very easily.

9. The claim is usually that people don't label themselves liberal when they take liberal stances.

Here it is from me: http://www.gallup.com/poll/124922/Presidential-Job-Approval-Center.aspx

It is disruptive to cite poll numbers like these and habitually refuse to furnish a link to the source.

In the same survey quasi-cited in the OP, approval among independents was 39%. This is the answer to a question you posed upthread. You can see this and other information if you follow the link I furnished above.

19. Neither do discussion board posters who only want to reveal the cherries they pick.
And you are no print journalist.

17. 39% support amongst independents is not enough.

I hope that number changes, but one has to be realistic that people are mad and want to hear some good news.

New trade deals with other countries will not be brining in jobs to the US, and the continuation of war has worn so many down.

People will vote for change even if that means hanging themselves with their vote. Yeah, it is irrational, but so is quoting positive statistics while ignoring reality.
