Now what?
I mean the senate isn't going to repeal health care and even still they do not have enough votes to kill a veto.
So that was a worthless debate from a worthless group of people who did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
I hope by 2012 people will wake up and realize they voted idiots to represent them in DC.

8. probably about the same amount it cost when Democrats pushed bills to a vote |
|
knowing that chimpy would veto them. Like the Iraq withdrawal bill in 2007 or the SCHIP extension.
The repeal bill is a stupid, indefensible bill as a matter of policy, but focusing on the idea that it wasted money to have the vote is a bad idea.

we wanted it repealed soooo badly that we were willing not to show up at the ballots last November. So was it a waste of time? Isn't that what we kept hearing on DU all last year? That we'd rather have no health care reform law at all than this one?
Of course, some of us wanted it and went to the polls to try to save a Dem majority.

I sure hope the media talks a lot about all the bills passed in the House that the Republicans didn't allow to come to the floor.

9. probably get them a lot of media attention |
|
nothing for the American people, free campaign time for the Republicans.
How many Dem house votes the previous 2 years went nowhere in the senate, but got zero coverage by the media?
