When Mayor Blomberg gave the order to clear out OWS protesters from Zuccotti Park on Tuesday, NYPD pulled out their secret weapon.

According to reports, the New York Police Department rolled out what is known as Long Range Acoustic Device device (LRAD), which is used by police and the military to either disband, incapacitate, injure and possibly kill large crowds of people in one long sweep. According to LRAD via Businessinsider , the company behind the device said it "could cause permanent hearing damage from instantaneous exposure, when activated at close range, most people experience audible discomfort and quickly cover their ears and move away." As bad as it sounds, placing ear plugs or hands over ears can muffle the low frequency sound from doing too much damage. LRAD manufacturer argues that its device is not a weapon but merely an "effective long range communications system used to clearly broadcast critical information, instructions and warnings." (Um, if it can possibly kill you it's a weapon).

6. He changed his phone number because when he was starving earlier

and not thinking clearly he inadvertantly gave out his number while covering the eent....not good because when the number is called his feed (per Tim) shuts off! Consequently, he HAD to change his number....maybe it worked in ways he didn't foresee.
