"When a crime goes unpunished, justice has failed" - Elusive Justice

amazing - was surfing the web and on TV (PBS) is a show on the Holocaust called Elusive Justice - they were discussing the aftermath,of the Holocaust and the search for the criminal perps as many of them slipped into regular lives, assumed aliases, moved - we all know the story.

But what struck me when the man on the Teevee uttered the phrase in this title - is how it is all still current. All of the crimes perpetrated by the Bush regime - the illegal war, the lies - and how, because the crimes went unpunished, they've opened the door to what we are seeing in the country today - the crimes of the financial community - the creation of the vast and ever increasing gulf between the haves far too much and haves far less than they deserve.

When we allow crimes to go unpunished in broad daylight, it just emboldens larger and more serious crimes in the future.

we are living in the future.
