Do i know what the next move should be? No. But I think #OWS has made as much an impact as it's going to make by camping in spaces throughout the country. It's time to shift gears. Does anyone have suggestions?

Creating alternative economies

Educating the public about current issues regarding the use of slave labor and exploited labor

Establishing a monthly move your money day of the month

More in your face actions like occupying city halls

Forcing banks to negotiate mortgages with people facing foreclosure

More outreach to long time activist groups

Keep a presence in the park but not necessarily as encampments (I like the camp idea)

Irk the authorities whenever and as much as possible

Occupy everywhere

Just looking over the last few months with the Netflix & BOA PR disasters I would agree with you. It is time to move on bad actors (and there are plenty from which to choose), one at a time.

There are other things that can be done in the interim such as supporting marches when available, meet ups, writing/calling our representatives, LTTE's and alike.

One thought that comes to mind is to request vacation information from the tourism folks of the various towns that have featured crackdowns & then simply toss them into the recycle bins when they arrive. It costs to print these, it costs to mail them (helping the post office a bit) and it makes a tiny statement.

2. The next step will just happen when the austerity measures are announced

whether the automatic trigger goes off or the committee suggests some solution.

People, especially older people, will react, and then we will know what the next step will be.

This is an organic process. It has a life of its own that is conceived from the greed, and fraud on Wall Street and in general in the lending and mortgage systems.

OWS hasn't done enough to respond directly to right wing attacks. How about infomercials titled Who We Are. Of course, when you take on the media, prepared to be buried. However, that's already happening.

There's tons of commercial space empty everywhere... what about renting it out? what about finding a place in legal/foreclosure limbo and squatting?

i am sure the GA's are hosting all kinds of ideas like this, and there are most likely die-hards who will want to stay too... we'll see if it factions the movement, i am guessing not

14. "Camping" any where at this point may be futile. Time to spend days and evenings

protesting at different locations might work. We saw Wisconsin protesting but it seemed to me that other than camping out in their capital they convened on a location in numbers with their signs etc. There is always power in groups of large numbers. It is vital they stay calm and obey the laws other wise it is only used against them.
