"It is right, he told himself, not reassuringly, but proudly. I believe in the people and their right to govern themselves as they wish. But you mustn't believe in killing, he told himself. You must do it as a necessity but you must not believe in it. If you believe in it the whole thing is wrong." --Hemmingway
You cannot kill an idea
You can kill a man or a woman
You can kill a group of men and women
You can rape them, beat them, torture them and leave them to die
But you cannot kill an idea
Because an idea, unlike a man, goes beyond a person
An idea can inspire, an idea can enrage, an idea can inform
But it cannot be killed
Think of how many were killed to suppress ideas in the past
And many men and women died
But the idea outlived them
You can only kill a man - a man that is the same as you
The idea, is greater than you or anyone else
Peace
