Global job shortage of 40 million in next two years
Advanced economies need to create 27.2 million jobs in 2012-2013 in order to get to 2007 unemployment rates. It is projected that only 2.5 million will be created, leaving a shortfall of 24.7 million jobs.

Developing economies need to create 52.8 million jobs in 2012-2013 in order to get to 2007 unemployment rates. It is projected that only 27.7 million will be created, leaving a shortfall of 39.9 million jobs.

As a result, severe labor unrest can be expected, especially in the advanced economies and in the slower growing developing economies, such as in the Middle East.

2. Exactly! I see no reason for people not to have a reasonable number of kids, there
needs to be some sense employed ... and as you say, then we have idiots trying to ban birth control. More and more I think the human race is totally fucked. Earth will survive nicely, but humans, not so sure.

3. 36-hour workweek.
154 million full-time jobs in the U.S.

That's 6.160 billion work-hours per week.

6.160 billion work-hours @36 hours per week yields

171 million jobs.

There are 14 million unemployed people.

Do the math.

I guarantee you that your senator and congressman can do it.

Why haven't they?

4. 20-hour work week. time and a half over 20, double at 30, and up from there.
Aside from the reserve in the working hours calculation is a reserve in overly large payments to the already wealthy.
