I also heard that there were more than 30,000 in NYC on November 17th.

Also, the numbers I've heard for the rallies in Wisconsin are more in the 100,000 range.

And no, there wasn't pepper spray, but I do remember that the local police were too sympathetic to the cause so outside police were called in to close the capitol and to restrict traffic into and out of it. I remember hearing stories of disabled people being denied meds, and attempts to prevent food from coming in to the occupiers.

The capitalists don't mind the proles "blowing off steam" in demonstrations, but they don't want long term movements because movements might actually CHANGE something.

I'm looking forward to see what the actual outcome in Wisconsin will be. So far Walker's still in office and his Koch laws are still on the books. I'll believe that "electoral remedies" can work when Walker is ousted AND those laws are repealed. Until then, nobody's won nothing yet. Except Walker and the Koch brothers.
