Think about it. The Wingnut yakkers' talking point all week has been: Look at the difference, how the 'Baggers CLEANED UP after themselves AND STUDIED the Constitution and the Federalist Papers, while the OWS are FILTHY and stand for nothing.


Yeah, like the 'Baggers hiding their true core beliefs (RACISM) is CLEAN.


Their whole orientation is, "WE'RE BETTER THAN (insert whomever)": Anti-immigrant (Old-White is better than (insert whatever color here) )." Anti-world (American Exceptionalism). Anti-human (6,000 yr old Earth-religion). Anti-knowledge (denial of evolution/climate change).


It's all about: We're better than (everybody). Insert "superior" and there you have it.

there are all kinds of fear bagging and crazy going on in the world, it can't be controlled or fixed. They are not open to ideas beyond what feeds their fear and hate, therefore what they do is none of my business. I'd rather focus on the OWS movement and use energy constructively. The debate of who's movement is better is too much like a polarized sporting event = uninteresting distraction.

We are all in this together, and it would serve us well to behave that way.
That's not to say that you have to embrace the teabaggers' philosophy, but it's past time to stop insulting them on purpose. Either try to educate them and bring them to the light, or at the very least, forget about them...

Is simply the Tea Party's manifestation of a very human tendency . . . the idea that we are better than them.

Look around GD here and you'll see it too. Probably you think you are better (in some way or another) than everybody you dislike/disagree with. I certainly do ;)

It's not a right or left thing. Just about everybody does it.
