Sen Toomey (R-PA) on OWS: "I know they don't like business, you can't get a job without a business"
(Transcribed some of the interview)

Not extremely familiar with them, no coherent message, evidently angry. Understand their frustration but misguided anger.

No clear idea of what they are for, I know they don't like business, not sure how anyone would get a job if no one has a business.

My guess it will just fade, I dunno.

A left wing group that just wants something to protest.

1. i'll bet he feels differently about the teafuckers...
Toomey emerges as surprise Tea Party Republican voice on ‘supercommittee’

Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) will serve as the de facto Tea Party voice on Congress's "supercommittee" following his surprise appointment to the deficit-reduction panel.

The freshman senator has taken on an outsized role in Congress since being sworn into office eight months ago, and now will serve as a conservative anchor to the panel charged with finding more than a trillion dollars in deficit cuts.

Toomey, however, emphasized the need for bipartisanship on the panel shortly after being named to it.

“This has to be done in a cooperative fashion,” he said in a conference call with reporters Wednesday. “It has to be an exercise in finding common ground.”

2. Wow, sounds like a man who isn't paying close attention.
And isn't too curious about the world. One would want senators to be interested in politics and diligent about their fact-finding.

6. Neither anti-business nor anti-corporate, but definitely anti-
worker abuse. But we are so surrounded by worker abuse now that government and the media can't even see it any more, or choose not to. (Witness the Supreme Court refusing to pay any attention to the women Wal-Mart screwed over.)

Those who suffer worker-abuse and therefore understand it, are the OWS. We sure as hell don't want businesses to "disappear" (reductio ad absurdum) -- we just want businesses to give the workers a fair share of the wealth they produce/earn.

5. FAIL. We don't like major corporate business having all the say and getting all the favors,
and actual working, breathing human beings getting screwed.

But he knows that.
