This Could Get Interesting...
From: Occupy Wall Street Demonstrations Brought To Bloomberg's Neighborhood
By: NY1 News
Nov 20, 2011 1:30 PM

Meanwhile, State Senator Eric Adams and civil rights attorney Norman Siegel criticized Tuesday's cleanup of Zuccotti Park, the former campsite of Occupy Wall Street protesters, by city officials.

They claim the New York City Police Department violated its own policies by not issuing receipts to protestors after their property was taken away.

Adams said he is writing a letter to the mayor and will call for City Council hearings.

Protesters have until Tuesday to pick up their belongings from the Department of Sanitation garage on West 57th Street.

Adams and Siegel also want to know why several members of the media were arrested or otherwise prevented from entering the park.

The NYPD has not responded to NY1's request for comment on this story.

3. Because these idiots have never heard of the "cloud"
they think people actually store important data on their laptops instead of in the cloud or on a thumb drive.

They also want to make it costly for people to protest; figuring people will go home rather than risk having valuable goods destroyed.

8 unmoving bodies in tahrir, pic i took 3 hours ago, just got to computer 2 upload. not sure how many dead vs. unconscious. corner of #tahrir sq & tahrir st.

/snip

see how that works?

Even if the police raid her apartment, kill her and her family and destroy the computer, the image is still out there. Did I make that simple enough for you to understand or do you need smaller words?

12. I can understand most big words
Antidisestablishmentarianism still poses a problem, but I can usually handle the rest. But you responded to the wrong poster, dude. I was laughing at the guy who was joking about keeping all his passwords, bank account numbers and SSN in the cloud so no one would steal 'em.

9.  My point, in case you aren't bright enough to relate my comments to the actual story is:
Edited on Sun Nov-20-11 10:28 PM by TalkingDog
If you are in a camp that is in danger of being wiped out at any second, you aren't going to keep anything on a computer that you might later use to implicate the police regarding illegal actions, in the event that the computer is later seized and destroyed.

It's called a strategy.

As a rule, I don't keep anything valuable on my computer. I have a removable hard drive for that - which is kept in a secret underground location- just like Dick Cheney.

Edited for clarity/spelling.
