If Obama WANTS to get re-elected, it's all on him to step up his game.

Even he has to see by now that there is no "center", and that any attempt at compromise with the forces of greed and ugliness is the road to defeat.

His only chance is to actually become the person he seemed to be in 2008-to disregard everything that Rahm, Summers, Geithner and "The Ax" ever told him and to actually run as a people's candidate again.

That's if he WANTS to win.

If he just wants to go on consigning the party to defeat, he needs to stay the course.

It's a simple question:

Does he want a second term, or does he want to keep obeying his corporate masters?

He can't win if he keeps convincing the base that WE don't matter to him and that he can't be expected to "walk the walk".

It's simple, but will he get it?

Although his hard core supporters would rather have the people who have issues with Obama just lower their standards, I think it's Obama who needs to raise his game. A lot.

The problem I see is the old "Charlie Brown and the Football" issue. Many people have already had enough and don't trust him anymore. It's going to take more that perky speeches to win those folks back.

Once there is a choice between Obama and his record, and whatever the Repubs put up to challenge, the choice will be clear.

He has no right to move any further to the right on anything at all if he still intends to ask Democrats to vote for him. And it's not enough to say "say hello to President Evilbastard".

What else can you do when it's voting time, are you gonna pick the R's, or take away a vote for the D's. It's been a long time since I've mulled this mind fu$k. Our system is broken.

Seriously, When a Dem president does so much for the other party, what are we voting for. Oh yeah, never mind the fact that elections get rigged.

I'm way beyond frustrated with this issue and have been for a long time.
