7. One of the comments on youtube explained in colorful language the basis of his success.

I believe him to be a hard-working, modest man and a deep thinker. It's what we've needed.

The problem he has is that the mass media was finished being co opted during the Bush years. Worsened during the Clinton years, and begun by Nixon, then promoted by Reagan who took down barriers to what we see now.

He's serving in a poisonous environment. I fault those who have turned our populace into repeaters of biased dialog presented by corporate media. For years now, Americans seeking information to get the facts they need to make informed decisions have to do dumpster diving through mountains of lying, GOP swill.

The parameters of every program are right, far right and extreme right with a few little tidbits thrown in to keep progressives feeling that they are heard. They are not being heard and won't be.

Obama has seen the lay of the land, knows who his opponents are and is called weak and incompetent by those who bought the media story lines. I followed all of this since 2007 in detail. The corporate media made the tea party and caused him to lose the ground he'd gained with many orders and initiatives against the worst opposition I've seen since the Clinton era under Newt's games.

The election of 2010 was a victory for conservative media who created the talking points and demoralized young voters. After a while people stopped looking at the hands that paid for their media heroes feeding them bullshit.

They won't stop now, and most of the hysteria since Obama got in office is part of the national mindset, with none of what they feared coming to pass and no credit going to Obama for what he's done.

Because if 'you don't see it on TV, it didn't happen.'
