1. LIstening to the radio this morning

newscaster was talking about how there is no connection between violent rhetoric or the crosshairs map and the tragedy in Tucson.

It sounded nice and diplomatic but I couldn't help wondering would there have been an attack at all if that map didn't exist, if the right hadn't been spouting off about second amendment remedies, revolution and basically doing all they can to make audiences suspicious of the government, specifically liberals in the government?

I say no f-ing way.

I've lost a good friend to schizophrenia and have a relative thru marriage with schizophrenia so you'll have to forgive me if I pass on your BS 'you don't know what you're talking about' suggestion.

I'm not saying he wouldn't have done harm to himself or others. I'm saying he wouldn't have carried out that attack without the rhetoric encouraging and focusing him.

If any violence befalls the guy who lives at the address listed below, or for that matter, anyone else who resides at that address, should the group circulating the flyer with the target on it be held responsible?

8. My family are all gun owners. I hear what you are saying but when

someone as connected with guns tries to tell me that the crosshairs are some other symbol I have to ask when did that person become a surveyor? Further, no one is saying she or any of the others shot Gabby. But they have been saying some pretty wild things about violence and rebellion. They have set the table for the meal. All they are being asked to do is to stop the radical talking points and be careful that some nut job does not take them literally. By the way I am not convinced that they do not mean it literally.

As to the sign above - does the creator of this sign make a habit of calling for violent action? That would be the point to me.

What if six months from now, something happens to this guy's house? What if after the first Walmart opens in DC, someone shoots a person in the Walmart parking lot?

11. What makes this especially dangerous to me is that it is aimed

at a specific individual, and a specific residence. I'd bet money that at the very least tonight, there will be property damage at that address.
