School plans field trip... To grand opening of new Super-Walmart

It has come to our attention that certain institutions of public education have lowered the bar on school field trips.

The latest evidence is a reminder e-mail from Clearbrook Elementary School.

“Hi parents, field trip permission form for the Walmart opening was sent home on Thursday.

“Please return this form if you wish for your child to participate — 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders will be singing the national anthem at the Walmart opening on Jan 26.

17. That stinks.. Our field trips were fun and educational....so were my kids'

Our youngest had a 3 day science camp in the mountains (Idyllwild, CA)...a 2 day trip to Catalina...a 2 day Tidal Pool/Whale Watching Adventure to Dana Point.. I know this is California, but sheez.. a WALMART??

and when they were in the lower grades, they went to museums, pumpkin patches at Halloween & parks..
