Rachel summarizes the Republican campaigns and debates to this point. Legalizing heroin, executing innocents, letting the uninsured die, cheering for torture, shedding tears and putting their hands on one another - Rachel puts them all in one place and considers the impact on public perception.

My favorite part is trying to tell if Rick Perry knows how clueless he is.

And the best news is that there's going to be thirteen more of these things. By the end, BHO will be declared winner by default!

1. Perry? How about "Put those lazy 9 year olds to work!" Gingrich?
They're all utterly clueless and out of touch, not to mention with only the most tenuous grip on reality.

Only a Republican would try to attack unemployment by putting children to work and forcing their elders out of their jobs. Only a Republican can possibly think that raising the retirement age would have a positive effect on anything, especially unemployment.

Not only would I never trust these idiots with the economy, I wouldn't trust them with the money to pay the paper boy.

2. The debates have made it clear there is still a huge ideological divide between the two parties.
Hopefully those in our own party who question this are paying attention as well.

3. They're running to the right now for the primaries..
The candidate will then head back to the left until the election after which they will go sharply rightward.

Same as it ever was.

So, I suppose that just like all other decent, honest and honorable citizens of the United States of America -- and unlike the wee, twisted, fact-hating, piggishly inclined RepubliBagger Cabal-O'-Cronies -- I am truly Gropeless.
