Edited on Fri Nov-25-11 10:31 AM by marmar
BOSTON (MarketWatch) -- Police are searching for a woman who pepper-sprayed shoppers at a Los Angeles-area store late Thursday in what they have termed an incidence of "shopping rage," the L.A. Times reported early Friday. About 20 customers were reportedly injured in the attack, which took place at approximately 10:10 p.m. PCT at a Wal-Mart store in Porter Ranch. Authorities said the woman sprayed fellow customers in an attempt to gain better access to holiday-sale merchandise.

Another shooting was reported at a parking lot next to a Wal-Mart in South Carolina, also a suspected robbery attempt. Officials told WMBF-TV they believe the robbery was tied to Black Friday.

At Porter Ranch, 20 customers, including children, were hurt in the 10:10 p.m. incident, officials said. Shoppers complained of minor skin and eye irritation and sore throats. ..............(more)

1. If this is the same story as was posted earlier, the details are starting to change..
The earlier story was that line-cutters were what prompted the pepper spray..

2. Consumer Zombies.....
that's what they are. Something wrong when a family gives up Thanksgiving, which should be a time of reflection and enjoying the company of family and friends, to go stand in line for hours then push and fight with others for those "must have" deals.

Is all the STUFF worth giving up what's really important? To the consumer zombies it is....
