MILFORD -- Police used an electronic stun gun to take control of a man at the Milford Wal-Mart late Thursday, who was fighting over a video game, Officer Jeff Nielsen said.
The man, Brian Shellnutt, 26, of West Rutland Road, confronted a father who was helping his 11 year-old son, who'd been pushed to the ground as they waited for the video games to be put on sale, Nielsen said. When another shopper went to the father's aid, Shellnutt attacked him, the police spokesman said.
"We have extra-duty officers at the store and they were notified and broke up the fight. But when they were ordered to stop, the other man did but Shellnutt tried to get in another punch," Nielsen said.
"At that point, and after repeated warnings, the officer deployed his electronic stun gun, and took the suspect into custody," the police spokesman said.
