7. They don't actually need an invasion of Iran to achieve their goals,

at least initially. Our presence in the Middle East will continue to expand, as they are still following the old PNAC blueprints.

All they really need initially is a brewing very serious conflict (even between Iran and someone else, for example) that threatens to blow into a World War. That will give them political cover to continue to pour money into the Military Industrial Complex, divert national attention from OWS, clean OWS from the streets (for security reasons), tighten the control and surveillance functions of the police state, and shelve any reform of Wall Street, since Wall Street loans will be desperately needed to shore up our military and national security.
