How fucking stupid? It's on now. Now they (the cops) have a reason.

Good going.

It is just the kind of thing they are capable of.

9. That's immediately what I thought.
I don't know why the protesters would be setting off fireworks, but I can think of plenty of reasons why a cop would. I guess it's a matter of who you trust. I trust OWS a hell of a lot more than any cops.

11. Yes, the LAPD's reputation precedes itself.
That band of fascists is capable of anything.

regardless of the circumstances.

15. I love fireworks. Please don't get me wrong. I support OWS-LA
but why, for goodness' sake, would anyone willingly break the law in an instance such as this? Why provoke?

It hasn't happened again since the first instance over two hours ago, but it's NOT a smart way to demonstrate "peacefully", without breaking laws.

18. I know, I'm not knocking you, if it weren't my city this time I'd likely agree outright
on principle. It's the grinch who stole Christmas...take away all our stuff, and we'll still have reason to be joyous!

20. No this is about people who set off aerial fireworks in public places without permits...
Because that won't provoke a heavy police response...

22. Someone on the Livestream said she saw 20 undercover agents
by City Hall dressed like occupiers giving each other knuckle bumps. She said she had pictures and tried to show them on the Livestream but it didn't convey very well. I hope she posts the photos online.

Not as bad as jaywalking at least. Or, say, illegal parking.
