Sunday, November 27: Set up camp with Occupy Olympia
Bring your tent, warm clothes and a sleeping bag to camp out in Heritage Park next to the state capitol.
Monday, November 28: The 99 Percent Takes Back the Capitol.
People from across the state are joining together on the first day of legislative session continuing the occupation and showing the Washington public what democracy looks like. Nothing short of a no cuts budget with all the funding coming from the 1% will make us satisfied.
Tuesday, November 29: We are the 99 Percent.
Who are the 99 percent? We’ll get to know each other with personal stories of the devastation suffered because of state budget cuts and share our success stories from organizing locally.
Wednesday, November 30: Make the 1 Percent Pay.
It’s time for the richest 1 percent to pay. Big banks and large corporations must serve the people’s democracy. We will share strategies for ending corporate dominance in our local communities.
We need to demand the end of billionaires. No private individual is capable of using a billion dollars efficiently and for the betterment of society.
Thursday, December 1: Do You Stand with the 99 Percent?
Legislators are elected by corporations to represent the people. Government’s job is to protect big corporations, pass unfair tax breaks and protect rich special interests when the democracy is controlled by money.
We call on our local communities to stand up for their families, stand up to the 1% and stand in solidarity with the 99 percent.
Friday, December 2: Our Future is at Stake.
Our children are looking at a world where they need to be part of a strong community grassroots movement to make sure of their next meal and to see a doctor when they need one. Our students will not be shoved into crowded classrooms, graduate saddled by debt and end up unable to find a job. We can do better.
December 3rd!
December 3rd! Everyone come out to Occupy Olympia! We’ll march on the capital! Meet at 11AM at Heritage Park. Rally then march at noon!
