I was driving by an Occupy Encampment on Sunday. the first sign I saw as I drove past was "Dump Run Needed" sitting next to the single porta-potty on a trailer that was connected to a pick up. I support the Occupy movement, but what kind of message does that send? It's no wonder that sanitation is a hot topic used for taking down the movement. The anti-OWS'ers will say that these people can't even take care of their own shit. What I wounder is this: are these people really so broke that they can't afford to rent more then one porta-potty? Even if that is the case, can't some one call the owner of the pick up truck to take it to the pump out? Why the bold sign? that message is intended for one person, why broadcast it with a sign?
On another note, connected to the "Dump Run Needed" topic, I took a load of bottles to the recycle on Monday and I was surprised at first by the number of Televisions that were there. But then I remembered... Black Friday. every one got flat screens. there must have been over 2 dozen TV's Probably working fine discarded by our consumer society.
You know what is really sad? Even with all this crap discounted by 75% they still made a huge profit on Black Friday. What does that tell you about the prices they charge the rest of the year?? To me the whole Turkey day weekend tells me that the corporations screw the shit out of us, and then expect us to clean it up, Santorum and all, after they are done. To bad for me that I couldn't even afford to by any thing because of how badly the holidays cut into my pay check. Oh, but we have to be merry!!!! Ya, OK, What ever.
Good Luck to you and Yours this holiday season. Occupiers, I hope you get your Potty pumped out soon, and I wish you the best of luck as well.
