South Africa UFO Convention Theory: ETs Raid Earth For Gold
If humanity wants to understand the greed in a man or woman's heart, he might want to look to the stars . . . and the little green men who might be living on them.

Aliens -- much like humans -- have been plundering the planet for gold for thousands of years, according to the organizer of South Africa's first UFO Science and Consciousness Conference, held in Johannesburg last week.

2. Gold is very rare, and it is a great electrical conductor...
I could see that if they were traveling through the galaxy, that at some point they would end up here and would need minerals like gold. But as much as I think that the odds for ET Life exist in the universe and elsewhere in the Milyway, I am no convinced that they have been here.

There are only two rational explanations for the truely unidentifed objects seen; they are unmanned probes sent to observe and report as we do with our unmanned satellites we send into space or new military tech.

UFOs are the best tool the military has for covering up their new and classified tech.

7. I offer a third (and what I consider rational) explanation: As yet unidentified natural phenomena
The most obvious of these would be something like ball lightning being mistaken for a craft of some sort- but there are other things, most recently-investigated things, like "earthquake lights" which, with the proliferation of portable video recording devices, has allowed some of these events to be recorded more easily and correlated.

Assuming that it's not a weather balloon or a close-up of a slingload under a helicopter (it appears to be neither), I think my "favorite" UFO would be the Nellis UFO and it's incredible abilities to shapeshift. Having studied it and similar things over the years, I'm persuaded that it (and many other so-called "UFO" objects) are related to extremely rare natural phenomena of one sort or another. Or Elfs and Sprites, which are also incredible and (when viewed from the earth and not from space) might give the impression of something far different than what they actually are.

Just my 2 cents.

I have difficulty thinking that aliens would cross such vast interstellar distances...only to remain incommunicado. Technologically, I think some UFO's could be described by advanced military technologies, though.

13. If there is a civilization that has the capability of traveling throughout the galaxy,
the capability to transmute baser elements into gold or any other element would be child's play to them.

22. Precisely. It's perfectly plausible if you have good particle accelerators.
Granted, that would be the expensive way to to it, but it would work.

3. Sure because we all know that gold
is an universal asset.

Bull, just because something is worth a lot here, doesn't mean it has any value on Jupiter or Mars.

10. I don't think that ETs are visiting Earth to mine gold, but...
there is good evidence to suggest that gold would be a universal asset. It's the most malleable of all metals, it's highly conductive and dissipates heat rather well.

24. Right. It's valuable for it's electrical properties, not because it's shiny.
The "shiny value" is pretty much all in the heads of humans.

6. Asteroids not good enough for them?
...
Measurements suggest that 433 Eros has a chemical composition similar to meteorites found on Earth. Like those, the colossal 15 million million tons mass of 433 Eros may also contain metals such as platinum and cobalt, worth up to £10,000 billion, and gold, worth about £500 billion.

14. Those people obviously never watched "Plan 9 From Outer Space"
Ed Wood figured it all out decades ago. They only want to re-animate our dead and use them as zombie slaves.

Oh, wait. That's not aliens, it's the modern corporation.

18. They're coming for our granite
Apparently it only exists on earth, and there are millions of kitchens in Andromeda that are being refitted. They have an HGTV reality show on their cable systems talking all about how they plunder our planet for granite. As a matter of fact, the show is called Granite Planet: Andromedan Kitchen Makeover....

25. That one's been around for long time. Thousands of years, actually...
I almost subscribe to the reality promoted in Carpenter's 'They Live.'

It would make sense of what the regressives are doing, really. I can see the GOP meeting with the aliens and getting theirs first, the way the people selling the Earth out in the flick, matches their agenda.

What human would do some of the things that TPTB do and have been doing for thousands of years? it makes it easier to understand their lack of empathy and disrespect for everything on Earth.

I mean, honestly, who knows? Our lives are so short and busy. It's not like I'm in charge of the planet. Damn, where's my tinfoil hat?

They may be watching us and planning for a global smorgasbord, a sort of 'homo sapiens all you can eat barbe-que' in 2012... No use pulling away from paranoid plaza now, because we love this stuff.

:woohoo:
