If you want democracy to continue to be part of the game plan, you must read

http://dissenter.firedoglake.com/2011/11/29/live-blog-for-occupy-movement-occupyphilly-occupyla-being-evicted-now/

Poor Lucky. Her owner is in jail, and possibly Lucky will be euthanized before the owner is released. And whoever tries to claim Lucky will be told that only her owner can have her.

And kudos to everyone at the Occupy LA! and Occupy Philly! sites.

3. It's a valid question. Arrest was a definite possibility at that

site. If you bring a dog and you are arrested, what happens to the dog? It's not a matter of how things should be; it's a matter of how things are. Owning a dog means keeping that dog in mind when you make decisions. Odds are the person will be released in time to recover the animal, but that's not certain. A bad decision, this was on the owner's part.

4. I never bring my dogs to protest and this is one reason.
If my husband is with me we would have back up person to take care of our dogs if something happen (arrested). This makes me very sad, but it could have been prevented.

5. It was a bad decision BUT
The pound knows EXACTLY where Lucky's owner is and why s/he can't come get her right away. They are well aware that this is not an abandoned stray or a case of neglect. If they decide to euthanize her anyway, that's pure sadism on their parts. They certainly don't get a pass.

6. I completely agree with you.
I guess I just don't trust most people. I would not risk it as our dogs are our kids.
