Oh my, somebody UnRecced my thread or a thread that I agree with! How dare they?

Then you had the posters whining about an UnRec within minutes after a thread was posted, one that went on to be on the home page with hundreds of Recs.

No I won't miss the whining and crying about UnRec. Unfortunately you are only now allowed to express agreement with a thread. Somehow that seems undemocratic.

7. To be fair, we don't know that

or at least I don't. Skinner has said un-rec is going away but who knows if it will be replaced with a different system where dis-approval of a post can still be shown :shrug:

If someone wants to express disagreement they are still free to post their position in the thread. Just not anonymously any more.

10. I'll miss reading the justifications for the whining.

Here's a few of my favorites

1. Unrec censors dissenting opinions!

2. Unrec lets freeper trolls control what goes on the greatest page!

3. Unrec is undemocratic!

4. Anecdotes about a thread the poster started that no one could have possibly unrecced getting unrecced.

5. Anecdotes about a poster's threads being targeted by groups that don't like them.

All easily refuted, but always fun.
