Keith Olbermann - how about Comedy Central for your new digs?

There are only 2-3 shows that I ever watch regularly, Keith Olbermann is one of them!

Assuming KO wants to continue in TV, it seems a good fit might be to join the likes of Jon Stewart (Daily Show) and Stephan Colbert (Colbert Report) on Comedy Central.

Even if he cut Countdown to 1/2 hour, his mix of kick ass commentary and humor would be a good fit. Just Googled this - Viacom owns Comedy Central. Not sure where they stand.

Other ideas for channels that might be KO friendly?

2. I was thinking Sirius Satellite Radio

Their whole business model seems to revolve around giving celebrities boatloads of money to attract subscribers. And Olbermann potentially could have a larger audience on Sirius than ever on MSNBC.

IMO, they are funny - but also prone to some damn good journalistic talent. They even have serious interviews now and then.

I don't believe the name of this channel assumes all that are on it are comedians, but I don't watch much TV.

Olbermann has serious interviews all the time. He even got rid of the fluff interviews about American Idol several years ago.

Stewart and Colbert are not journalists, though that does not mean they are worse than the so-called journalists at the Fox entertainment channel.

15. I've never found political satire

particularly funny. It may be good for a chuckle but I have long thought Comedy Central should get out of the political punditry business. Social satire otoh, I do think is appropriate, i.e. SouthPark, Family Guy, etc.
