an agreement to walk their different ways.

Another is that he was fired.

Most likely a non disclosure was signed, so you and I will never know for sure. But MY take, and it is SPECULATION... is that they decided to go their mutual ways, because things were getting hot and he was probably pressured to quit, and he was fired.

Perhaps turn to the rerun of AC 360 some nuggets are there.

Regardless this is NOT a good thing for multiple reasons... Media concentration moves apace.
