and Tom Cruise's Scientology may have scared off katie Holmes.
Duh and duh.
1/ Anderson Cooper has been living as a gay man in plain sight and, as a result, has been the subject of despicable snickering innuendo from various people in the celebrity culture.
I think the time has passed when we should expect member of the GLBT community to announce their orientation. After all, we don't expect hetereosexual celebrities to announce their orientation.
And it's damned if you do and damned if you don't. Star Jones very strongly implied this was to goose ratings for his talk show, much as Oprah made certain confessions.
Why would it goose ratings? I'm guessing most people know his orientation by now.
2/ Supposedly, Katie left Cruise because she feared he would raise Suri as a Scientologist. If this is true, did Tom's devotion to Scientology and the fact that Scientology is not a mainstream religion come as a surprise to Ms. Holmes?
If the combo is so bad for children (and I personally believe it is), maybe she should not have married him or should have left him before getting pregnant?
