The people that sold the guns that killed those people in Aurora are just as guilty as the guy that pulled the trigger. Their swapping guns for cash with no questions asked is negligent homicide. It makes no difference if they sold them at a gun show, at a Bass Pro Shop, or over the Internet. They are everyone irresponsible.
If we carry it to its logical conclusion, Congress also is guilty for not passing laws to protect our citizens. And in the final analysis, we are all guilty for electing these same people to Congress.
But the folks that sell these weapons carry an extra responsibility and burden. They need to ask more questions. Also, a special burden falls upon the NRA. Their belief that the 2nd Amendment is absolute and their refusal to protect the rest of America from their twisted ideology stymies our Congress and our citizens from acting responsibly. There are a lot of guilty folks in America today.
