Budget office: Obama's health law reduces deficit

For those of us who don't follow Ayn Rand, though, remember: Expansion of Medicaid was supposed to make the mandate at least moderately acceptable to people who care if the poor die or face a penalty.
Thanks to Roberts and Democratic appointees, though, the mandate is going forward, but the way to make states expand Medicaid is not.
So, for those who cannot afford health insurance, the situation is now officially horrible. And that's before Congress either reaches a "Grand" Bargain, which will cut social programs, or goes off the cliff, which will also cut social programs.
