FUBAR: Undecided voters in twelve COUNTIES will decide this Presidential election.
On the Daily Show this week, Brian Williams said to Jon Stewart, "When you speak to people who live these things night and day, it's, 'Forget about battleground states. It comes down to twelve counties."

Those were not William's exact words, but that is the gist of what he said.

That is twelve counties out of he US has:

3009 counties
64 parishes
16 boroughs
41 independent municipalities or cities

And that is not even everyone in those twelve counties, only the undecided voters who actually get their carcasses to the polls, rain, shine or snow.

Out of about 350 million people in the nation, those are the only ones presidents who want re-election--and most do--have to worry about. .

if that doesn't cry out for abolition of things like the electoral college, the 60-vote Senate rule, one person secret holds, etc. i don't know what does.

All this sound and fury and obscene amounts of money, for the undecided twits in twelve counties.

FUBAR.

"I'll retire to Bedlam."

1. How many of these counties are in Pennsylvania, Ohio....
I'm thinking about that awful decision about voter ID that came down in PA.

2. Funny you should ask. The one county I recall their mentioning by name was in PA.

Montgomery County, I believe its name is.

The election day shenanigans bother me a lot. But what bothers me a ot more is that those are the only folks any POTUS has to worry about every other day of the four years.

3. In 2,000 the Republicans knew exactly how
many votes they had to steal and where. But they miscalculated. They had to rely on a Fascist supreme court to say, "Stop counting the votes."

That was the day our democracy died. And they didn't steal that election with good intentions.
