My comment on this show is becoming a weekly matter.

For once the panel was not mostly Republican.

Mary Maitlin is looking downright insane.

The only message she and Greta Van Sustern seemed to have was: "Never mind that the anti-choice plank in the Republican platform has no exception for rape. Never mind that Romney is not disclosing taxes. Never mind about Romney's performance at Bain. Never mind that Romney seems to have even less of a heart and a personality than Cheney. Pay no attention whatever to those silly things behind the curtain.

The economy is bad."

Of course, they had no solutions other than increasing the same failed trickle down policies that brought us the global economic collapse of 2008--still less regulation for business and still more tax cuts for the wealthy.

And, of course, George Steph did not point that out.

Word to Republicans: When you've put the global economy in a deep, deep hole, please, please stop digging.



For their part, the Democrats let Maitlin get away with rattling off one lying statistic after another, to "prove" how great Romney had been for the state of Massachusetts, which is total bs.

Hell, he was on the road running for president most of the four years and, anyway, he did not create jobs in Massachusetts. (But you knew that, Mary.)

For his part, George Will explained away Romney's personality by saying Romney grew up in the 50's, with the reticence of a child of the Depression. Huh? The U.S. had a Depression during the Fifties? And children of the Depression were reticent? Even if they had a rich and powerful Daddy?

Hell, some of our most charismatic politicians grew up either during the Depression (the 1929 thingie, not the imaginary one that supposedly killed Romney's personality) or during the 1950s. And again, not a challenge to Will's fabrications from either Steph or the Democrats on the panel.


Word to the DNC and Obama campaign: Next time, could we please have Democrats come to this show's panel armed with facts? We know Georgie is not going to provide any, at least none that benefit Democrats.
