I've known this for a while because I read George Romney's wiki a while back. (We can be sure the wikis of all the Romneys and all the Bain capital affiliates were santized long ago and are monitored daily. Still, George Romney's wiki spoke of welfare the last time I checked.)
However, I don't like using things like needing welfare to mock people. So, I did not post until I heard Romney's remarks about people who think the government should provide them with food and shelter--everything.
Well, welfare is a pittance, but, in theory, it does cover "everything" that is necessary to sustain life. When George's mom, dad and siblings left Mexico to return to the U.S., Willard's grandpa had a hard time and applied for welfare.
And Colbert broadcast a clip about Willard's grandparents and their kids having been on welfare.
So, in all, I thought mention here of the Romneys status as welfare recipients would be justified now.
After all, when a Presidential candidate is supposed to be letter his hair down to his big donors and is still being a huge hypocrite anyway. we should know that.
Yesterday, I pointed out that Willard, being in 47% of Americans who does not pay any federal income taxes at all (only capital gains, much like many of the wealthy who are in the 47%), admitted that Willard could never be persuaded to vote for Willard. Today, we can add Willard's father, uncles, aunts and grandparents, all of whom thought they were entitled to welfare simply because they might have died without it.
