Gov. Patrick "accepted resignation" of the Commander of the Massachusetts National Guard.
The guy is accused of raping someone in 1984 and the investigaton of the claims is completed just in time for this to hit the headlines less than two months from election day.

The Military Times of March 30, 2012 published the news of the accusation.

His name is Maj. Gen. Joseph Carter. The alleged incident occurred when Carter was in the U.S. Army and was investigated by the Army years ago.

I don't doubt the guy did it. Moreover, finding him guilty of indecent assault, but not rape, is puzzling at best. However, the timing of the new investigation and the release of the finding is very suspicious, also at best.

Would not be surprised if supporters of Scott Brown and/or Romney are involved in that timing somehow.

Sorry, but you will have to google for the story. I cannot get the browser on my borrowed computer to copy links.
