Meanwhile, an online petition to have all nominees, including Stein and Anderson, included in the Presidential debates enjoyed the same success as every other online petition I am aware of.

I don't know why seemingly intelligent people keep asking us to sign those petitions. I think it is dangerous to give people the illusion that they can effect change by signing an online petition.

People actually think voting in an online petition/poll somehow equates to performing their civic duty. And, that it will actually make a difference.

2. That is partly why I think it is dangerous to ask people to sign them.

If the 1% wanted to think of a way to keep the 99% seated passively indoors, they could not have come up with better things than screens, movie, TV and computer--especially political message boards.

I post, but I know that is a relatively harmless hobby, not political activism.
