Best lines of the Al Smith roast were Obama's.

Or so I am guessing, based on the excerpts I heard.

The full speeches will probably get on youtube soon, if they are not up already.

Obama: Ladies and gentlemen, please take your seats......or Clint Eastwood will start yelling at them.

Obama: In 2008, I was accused of being a celebrity when I went abroad because of the crowds at my speeches. I congratulate Governor Romney on avoiding that problem.

Speaking of Eastwood, as soon as his bit in the Republican convention aired, the WH was saying that "At the WH, we're all Clint Eastwood fans." "All" at the White House obviously includes the First Family.

That did not, however, stop sour grapes Eastwood from saying days later that "If you're going to go into politics, you should have a sense of humor," as though umbrage had come from the WH.

BTW, Eastwood's latest movie did not do well with critics. It had a soft opening financially, but we'll see how it does after international, video, etc. results are in.

Maybe next time Eastwood pulls up a chair, he'll know what it's for?

(best Fonzi impression)

Clint, sit on it!
