Spent in the pursuit of power and monetary gain.

All I can think of is how many people that money could have helped. Then again, who would collect and disburse a sum like that for a cause other than personal power and greed?

We must be so in love with power and money.

Matthew, Chapter 6, verses 19-21, KJV

19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

And, Luke 12, verses 33-34, KJV

33 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Two thousand years later, it boiled down to "Follow the money."

1. Early on I tried to avoid
the political TV commercials. There are now so many that they cannot be avoided. Some of these commercials are just plain disgusting. For example, did you know that President Obama is not only spending but he is borrowing and spending. And he is wasting. Obama is borrowing and wasting. I sure wouldn't want to vote for anyone like that.

There are similar adds against Sherrod Brown. They might run three anti-Obama-Sherrod Brown adds consecutively.

Our side is running almost as many adds. And our adds are nearly as bad as theirs.

This is no way to run a country.

2. Borrowing. Spending. Wasting. Borrowing and spending and wasting, oh my!
Governments spend. It's what they do. They get the money from taxes.

If governments don't raise enough via taxes, they have to borrow.

It's not rocket science.

There's absolutely no excuse for all that wasting, though.

Who does he think he is, Bush?

I can't believe stuff like "romnesia," though.

People have literally killed their family members and then themselves because they couldn't get work and millionaires like Axelrod think third rate stand up is going to do the trick?

Srsly?

If something like "romnesia" wins an election, they should just build a wall around the country because we're all nuts. Don't know what to do about Hawaii and Alaska.
