That image kept getting posted and rebutted
with similar pictures. So... instant flame bait.

Ironically, I never learned what the fascination
people had with ponies at the time was. I didn't
get the (hurtful) reference to liberals vs centrists.

6. I think the center right folk at DU3 would like it.

They've been saying for years that the liberals who thought that Obama should have at least tried to keep his campaign promises expect too much from Obama.

So, the girl praying to a superhuman deity for her pony and a blue pony reminding the ungrateful brat that Obama is only human would, I think, fit in very well with the center right DU3ers. Not sure the liberal DU3ers--those who are still there, anyway--would love it, but they don't matter.

We're center right now.

When in fact that's what the "sensible centrists" were calling the Obama critics back in 2010.

In the case of the OP, my image could be taken either way... I didn't want to suggest Obama was a "show pony", especially not so close to an election.

Google "Magic Negro." IIRC, it started as an essay by an African American (maybe Spike Lee? Memory fails me on names, but not substance) about racism in how people of color are portrayed in film and literature. After Obama got nominated, though, the RW, including Limbaugh, turned it into a "racially-charged" attack on Obama.

Side note: isn't it amazing how Democrats even change language to accommodate the loudmouth RW?
