More on governing by garb: Obamas on Election Night 2008 and 2012
Edited on Wed Nov-07-12 02:07 AM by No Elephants
2008

2012

Romney, for his concession speech, in red, white and blue tie, but predominantly blue (gracious garb, but still calculated)

None on the first family online as of now, so I will have to post it tomorrow, but the President is wearing a blue suit, an ALL blue tie. Biden is in a blue and white one. Jill Biden is in an all blue dress, albeit dark blue, so it looks almost black at night. Michele is in =something I would describe as maroon, but I think her mom is in all blue. The kids and some of the Biden daughters in law are mixed red and blue.

However, the sartorial message from the re-elected officeholders is definitely not mixed.

I hope to heaven that is a sartorial message from the White House to Democrats, including liberals.

See, look at me all hopeful again. (I post like a total cynic, but am such a sucker at heart.)

1. As promised, photo of the first family last night

note the green on Sasha.

However, we have a promise of a Dept. of Business, as though the Dept. of Commerce were not enough; Obama says he wants to work with Romney; and this morning Al Sharpton, who had not slept all night, was already saying Democrats now had to let the President make the tough decisions about the debt and the deficit that he needed to make.

So....

The Romney family also hit the bipartisan closet last night, but they were not prepared to go green. Imo, the attempt at sartorial messaging is insulting to us.

2. They're all good looking, even the Romneys.
The President's girls are so damn cute. I fear there will be trouble ahead, lol.

3. Did I mix them up? Is Malia the one in green? They both look so grown up, I can't tell
who is the older.
