I first had contact with her when I posted a few things I no longer used. She contacted me, apoligizing that her family could use everything that I had posted.
They have no car, could I possibly bring this stuff to them? I delivered to her a 40+ year old Kenmore Sewing Machine, a George Foreman type grill, and odds and ends of toys from the 80's tucked away in the attic.
She was so excited, it brought me to tears.
A lovely young woman, probably in her late 30's. 3 children, 9 year old twin boys, and a 16 year old daughter, who suffers from a a genetic defect that results in developmental delay. She still plays with Barbie dolls.
They are fighting with their insurance. The husband has been suffering from seizures. Insurance doesn't want to pay, because no cause for them has been determined. What a load of crap that is, since they won't pay for tests to determine the cause.
The 5 of them live in probably a 700 sq. ft. home. (My estimate) She emailed me tonight, telling me that they have to move out in January. They are also buying a car. They can't afford to license and insure it yet. And, it will need a new windshield, along with brakes.
I am going to buy some lottery tickets for Powerball this week...yeah, a sucker's bet, for sure. But, if by some miniscule chance I might win...these folks will never have to worry again.
I have so much, compared to many.
