As the exalted holidays of Hanukkah, Solstice, Christmas, Kwanza and New Year approach, I am feeling...

unseasonably and inexplicably mischievous.

I would love to mention things about the fully populated DU2 that I don't miss a bit, as well as the posters I am glad to see the back of.


However, in honor of the season and the fact that I am over the age of 12, I will firmly resist that base urge by replacing it with an urge to say whom and what I do miss.

First, I miss everyone who posted at DU2 after DU3 began, but is now gone.

Second, I miss every left of centrist poster, whether now banned or posting exclusively at DU3 or just moved on to other boards and/or other pursuits.

I won't try to name them individually because I know I won't remember every one and I don't want to leave out anyone.

Third, I miss how quickly new LBN threads would appear (due in no small part to one kpete, whom I thank in absentia). And how much I would learn from the contributions of so many. (I still learn at DU2, but from considerably fewer posts.)



BTW, DU3 is nearing its first birthday, which means unraptured DUers are also nearing our first anniversary.

So, continuing to stifle my mischievous urges, I repeat that I am so fond of every member of this little family and I appreciate every one of you and wish you an abundance of good things of every kind.

2. I confess. The basis for "unraptured" is Koko, who used to refer to DU2ers as "left behind."

Which, of course, is superior to "right behind."

5. Wow. Posting this thread made me wonder what one of my most favorite posters

had posted lately. So, I made a rare excursion to DU3 via the board's search feature.

Turns out, she has not posted in DU since July.
