New York police officer buys boots for homeless man in Times Square
http://www.ksdk.com/news/article/349659/28/New-York-police-officer-buys-boots-for-homeless-man-in-Times-SquareRookie cop Lawrence DePrimo says that his granddad had taught him to do something all the way or not at all and that has stuck with him. So, he ran two blocks to a shoe store and asked the saleclerk for the best all-weeather boots, explaining that he needed them for a homeless man sleeping on the street with no shoes or socks.
The salesclerk who waited on him let DePrimo used his employee discount. The officer also bought thermal socks, bringing the total to about a day's pay for DePrimo (who lived up to his last name that night).
A tourist visiting NYC caught the good deed on her cell phone and it's gone viral. Something tells me DePrimo will have a good Christmas. (The store clerk who used his employee discount should as well, but he is not getting attention. I just hope his boss doesn't fire him for playing fast and loose with the discount, but the store is getting publicity, too.)

(I am not sure why Elizabeth, as the Jersey shore was hit harder, but I won't look a gift Santa in the map.)
He wants to encourage random acts of kindness.
And so, as Tiny Tim observed, God bless Us, Every One!
