Her Royal Highness, the Duchess of Cambridge, is knocked up and in hospital for morning sickness.
I have known and known of many pregnant women, but this is the first time I have heard of being hospitalized for morning sickness.

When I had morning sickness, I kept calm and carried on.

Then again, "crowning" meant something very different to me. :silly:

Best wishes to the royal couple, who reportedly have been trying to become parents for a while now.

BTW, men don't become pregnant. Or bleed for weeks after the birth.

Or menstruate every month for most of their lives on the off chance an egg might get fertilized at some point.

Whoever thought of this "they're pregnant" nonsense is a maroon.

1. Who's the father?
And don't look at me. We had a brief fling, a long, long time ago. :)

4. She's only 30, so I hope it wasn't more than 13 or 14 years ago.

Sorry if offended. I think Royalty should be relegated to History.

3. Kate is suffering from Hyperemesis gravidarum
And it's a real physical disorder of pregnancy, though rare, probably why you have never heard of it. I had a friend who suffered from it, she couldn't keep anything she ate or drank down when she was she was pregnant, and would easily become dehydrated, so they had to give her fluids via IV. It's a lot worse than the usual case of morning sickness which in itself, is bad enough. They are not really sure what specifically causes it, it could be hormonal, could be if the mother is carrying twins, could be a lot of other things. But unlike traditional morning sickness which usually passes as you enter the second trimester, and even with that some women have a rougher time of it, than others, this can last through out a pregnancy. Duchess or not, my heart goes out to her, its a miserable thing to have. Hope they can get her some relief and she has a healthy baby or babies!
