Greens (greenbacks) and Hoppin' John lucky today, especially with cornbread (golden) and nicer cuts of pork (rich, "high on the hog").

I am going with Hoppin' John and spinach today and skipping the cornbread and pork though, so I guess I'll only be half rich this year, LOL.


Hoppin' John is especially fitting today because Hoppin' John was supposedly a slave dish and today is 150th anniversary of the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. (Yeayyyy, Lincoln!)
