Republican Party seems as divided, angry as ever

Almost every site I look at has a story about how the Republican Party is in trouble, re-assessing, etc.

Bottom line: it's the same old story, a fight for love and glory from Independents. The only time either Party cares about its own base is election day. The name of the game is winning over people who are not loyal to you. So, to the extent that indies think like Democrats, Republicans may start acting a little more like Democrats, in a Republican way, of course.

For instance, on Bill Moyers, a Republican was going on about the fierce urgency of "climate change," the Republican focus-group generated term for global warming. (Finally. Thanks a lot. I just hope it's not too late.) He said research had shown that indies were closer to Democrats on climate change than to Republicans. So, he suggested that Republicans propose a cap and trade Republican "solution" on emissions.

Great, but remind me why someone company gets to profit on selling Its alleged rights to detroy my lungs and increase my risk of skin cancer, etc. When did they acquire that right? Never. Who sold it to them? Not I.

Anyway, I am going to change my voter registration to indie, so someone might finally give a damn about the direction I want in this country. That will cause Democrats to stop calling me for donations, too, so win win.

so fasten your seat belt. It's going to be a bumpy ride.

You know, even more than they did last time. Republican strategy - Lie even more than last time. Hey, it will probably work.
