Everytime I read at DU3, I ask myself "Why? Why? Why? did I do that??

After I joined DU in 2008, I learned so much from so many bright, well-informed posters.

I don't know where most of them went after they were banned or wandered off.

A small handful of my old favorites are still there, but even their posts are different than they used to be.

I was really just trying to let scooter2 know that at least on DU2 his pointless threads would get responses (since he needs some attention). But, enough about him, what is interesting is how when you read the big threads over yonder on 3, they even seem to lack connection and depth that we used to see here. I mean, really, how many "CURSE CURSE SWEAR GOP RAT BASTARDS!" threads can one rec over there by their top contributors and feel like you're in anything but an echo chamber. sure, we don't have many active users here, but it feels more real and unforced.

I do think you can be too nice, DD, but the subject line of this post is not really a response to your post, but my impression of DU3 post that no one will alert on or get uber nasty about. Probably.

But, I enjoy snooper2's visits here. It's nice that he still thinks of us after all this time.

I never understood why a handful of posts here a day were the target of so much vitriol.

Not exactly a threat to DU3, are we?
