So, Morning Low was bloviating this morning about yesterday's official inauguration of Obama.
Going on and on about how Obama was so arrogant to say "I did it," when it was the nation that did it.

Yadda, yadda, yadda, yadda.

Mika let him go on and on. And then she said relatively quietly, "Do you mean when his daughter asked him if he messed up the oath this time and he said, "I did it?"

The slime hesitated only a moment before pretending he had been referring not to only Obama, but to the attitude of everyone in D.C. that it's about them. Yadda, yadda, yadda.

And that is only a tiny example of how dishonest Morning Low is.

Meanwhile, the rest of the group apparently did not hear Mika and Low's cover up so slick that they, too, went on and on about Obama's saying "I did it" being indicative of undesirable traits in D.C, while his supporters in the group volunteered some possible positive motivations for his statement. It was incredibly lame.

People, you're getting big big bucks to show up in the morning and bloviate for a few hours, while others in America have to risk their lives and lungs doing things like mining coal. And the Presidential inauguration--the peak of whatever the hell your profession is--occurs only once every four years. Don't you think you owe it to your employer and your audience to pay close attention to what happened when the President officially got sworn in?

I saw the President bowing his ear to his daughter and her little voice saying something. I even heard a couple of the words, namely "mess up." And then I saw him respond to her. Anyone who was paying attention would have seen the same thing, even if they did not catch what she said. (And, btw, if you didn't catch it, you have the technology to get the sound enhanced.)

Must be great to get good money to sit around and pull stuff out of your ear, no matter how inane and "unfactbased" it is.

1. Bring back Imus!
Seriously. He was better than Joe Scum.

2. I used to watch Imus and all I can is, each of them is special in his own way
I happened to be watching the day he made the racist remarks for which he was fired.

He also did things like ream Schumer for the condition of Walter Reed. In fact, Schumer had voted for repairs, while Republicans had voted against them. And, when Schumer tried to say something to that effect, Imus shouted him down, talking right over him.

And then there was the unpleasant hobbit troll who was on the show every day who said the really homophobic, racist and sexist things, while Imus alternated between smiling and mock surprise. But the troll never got fired. You may recall him. He would often wear a paper hat designed to look like a bishop's mitre.

Whoever picked Imus's music, though, did a better job than whoever picks Morning Blowhard's, though I like both.

I never had any appreciation whatever for country music before I watched Imus. So, I thank him for that.

Imus was a right wing mouthpiece. Rude and racist innuendo was an integral part of the vibe. Some "country" is tolerable. We have a bunch of it, on CD, mostly.

Check this version out. Slowed down 10%. It'll make you want to toss back that bourbon.

4. Thanks. I know the song--pretty sure I know if from Imus, though I have seen him perform on TV, too

Never heard it slowed, though. I like it better.

Makes it sound much more like the blues. Not the Elton John Blues, but the more grinding Bessie Smith blues.
